Back in early February, I went on a mini break to Munich. It was absolutely freezing most of the time I was there (but cold builds character, or so my mum says) but I had an amazing time. Here are some snaps from my time in the wonderful city!

If you ever find yourself in Munich, I strongly recommend visiting St Peter's Church, in the centre of Munich. It is Munich's oldest church and the view from the top allows for the most amazing views of the city. Granted, it is a bit of work to get up there; I'm talking just under 300 steps on what is probably the worlds narrowest wooden staircase. But it's so worth it, the photo opportunities you get up there are second to none.
A visit to the Olympic Park is also recommended - it was the village used in the 1972 games and on non-event days you are free to roam around the stadium and the rest of the park. The day that I visited, we were the only people in the stadium; it was a surreal experience. Also on the olympic grounds is the Olympic Tower; which is Munich's highest structure with both and indoor and outdoor viewing platform, allowing you to see vast amounts of the city from a great height. The day we visited was unfortunately quite a misty day so we didn't get to see as much; but the view was still pretty awesome.
In the centre of Munich, is Marienplatz (Mary's Square). It is a busy pedestrianised zone full of traditional Bavarian architecture and home to the breathtaking Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). The atmosphere of the square is something very special, with everyone taking photos and chatting to one another. It is also home to one of the many Christmas markets - which I am very much hoping to visit!
I'm planning on putting out some more travel posts in the future as I'm hoping to visit many more places this year - including where to visit and places to grab some food; fingers crossed!
