Last weekend, I spent the weekend in Oxford. I have been there before, though that was a few years ago so wanted to go back to do some more exploring. The weather was lovely which made our aimless wandering around the streets very enjoyable and a great atmosphere all around. I took SO MANY photos but have narrowed them down massively to pop into this post.
On the top of my list of things to do, was the tower at the Church of St Mary the Virgin. To get to the top, you have to conquer 127 steps on a small spiral staircase - it doesn't seem like much but the steps are TINY and the staircase is so narrow, you have to take is slow and steady! However, the view at the top is completely worth it, it gives you some of the greatest views of the city.
Oxford is full of beautiful architecture, I was walking around in constant awe of all of the colleges and other fascinating buildings. My favourite however, is the Radcliffe Camera - the most magnificent library I have ever seen. It is absolutely stunning and is definitely my most photographed building from this trip.
We then took to the streets and wandering around the high street, diverting down the branching lanes stumbling on yet more stunning buildings and winding paths but we always found our way back to the main hustle and bustle.
After a long day exploring, we went to my fave, Wagamama's for dinner and as usual, it was soooo good - love me some ginger chicken udon, mmm.
Keep an eye out for more travel/adventure posts - as it's something I aim to do so much more of!
