NYX Haul

So, Boots started stocking NYX Cosmetics online recently and after wanted to try this brand for soooo long I didn't need much persuading to put an order in.

L: Matte Liquid Liner M: R: Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm
The product I had been dying to try from NYX was their Tame and Frame Tinted Brow Pomade. I've never used a pomade before as I've always stuck to my trusty pencil but after hearing so much about this product (and its likeness to ABH dip brow) I'm excited to give it a go. To go with this I also popped their Dual Brow Brush into my basket as I was in desperate need for a new one!

Next in my basket was their Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Stockholm. Again, this was a product I had heard so much about so I was dying to get my hands on one. I researched this a bit in order to find a shade that I would be happy with, so I opted for Stockholm - a pinky nude which would be perfect for everyday. When swatched it did look a bit on the dark/brown toned side but when applied it is THE perfect nude which is also super moisturising.

I've been on the hunt for a good lengthening mascara for a while now and have been left disappointed every time. So I thought I'd try out the Doll Eye Mascara in Long Lash Black. I've used this once so far and have been impressed with how much it does seem to lengthen my lashes. It contains nylon fibres which cling to the lashes in order to lengthen them, though they do make it seem clumpy, it does apply nicely.

On the lines on eyes, I also treated myself to the Matte Liquid Liner. My other matte liner is on the brink of running out so this is my next in line and I'm super excited to try it out! I will be reporting back on this one!

Last but by no means least is the HD Photogenic Concealer Wand in the shade porcelain. Online is it noted as one of NYX's best sellers so I popped it into my basket so I could see if it lived up to the expectation. When swatched it looked very light for my skin tone but it's a trick to eyes and when blended it's a perfect match. It creates excellent coverage and isn't too heavy on the skin - fab!

It looks like NYX is going to become a regular appearance in my make up bag - do you have any recommendations?

  5. I'm so excited that NYX has finally arrived at the UK. In fact I'm so excited that more American brands are arriving here really, although I have no money to try out any goodies but it's lovely to hear what you've picked up.

I really want to try the NYX Matte Liquid Liner. Right now I have the Stila liner which to begin with well I loved but now it takes far too long and I mess up and I just can't deal with that everyday so I give up and don't use liner but this one seems so simple.

It's so great to hear that you enjoy their products.
